Bob in a Rut
Bob, a Roosevelt Elk, was a local celebrity in the Youbou and Lake Cowichan. Like
many male elk, they decorate their antlers with anything they can find during the rut.
Some become so entangled with lichen, rope, plastic, nets or hoses, that they need
rescuing by conservation officers. The many images of male elk in their fancy headgear
inspired this painting series.
All original artwork by Jodi is acrylic and mixed media on canvas that is ready to hang.
